Before starting your retrofit, take some time to explore the rebates, loans, and incentives available to you.
| These programs can significantly reduce your upfront costs, make financing easier, and even help you take on bigger projects than you thought possible. | Whether you’re a homeowner, part of an Indigenous organization, or living in a northern or off-grid community, there are options designed to support your upgrades. | Check out the next steps to see which rebates and financing options you may qualify for. Eligibility, rebate amounts and program availability can change – always confirm current details directly with the program. |
The Home Energy Retrofit Program (HER) cannot be combined with other Efficiency Manitoba offers for the same upgrades, including windows and doors, insulation, and heat pumps. You must choose between this program and the Windows and Doors Rebate — you cannot receive both for the same work.
If windows and doors are your primary project, opt for the Windows and Doors Rebate. You can combine this rebate with the Manitoba Hydro Home Energy Efficiency Loan (HEEL). You may also qualify for a significantly higher rebate on windows and doors — or for other upgrades through Efficiency Manitoba’s Income-based and Indigenous offers.
If your windows and doors are one part of a deep energy retrofit, consult with a Registered Energy Advisor (EA) about whether which program is the better fit before you commit.
